| We have decided to bring this technology into the practice for several reasons: The first is that it is proven and effective. We don’t go for gimmicks and through our research on this product, we found it to be supported by every study we read. Secondly, and most important, are the recent alarming statistics concerning oral cancer obtained from the Oral Cancer Foundation: “34,000 Americans will be diagnosed with oral or pharyngeal cancer this year which will cause over 8,000 deaths, killing roughly one person per 24 hours a day. Of those 34,000 newly diagnosed individuals, only half will be alive in 5 years. The death rate for oral cancer is higher than that of cervical cancer, Hodgkin’s disease, cancer of the brain, liver, testes, kidney, or skin cancer(malignant melanoma). The death rate associated with this cancer is particularly high due to it being routinely discovered late in its development. And thirdly, we always want to give our patients the most up to date technology available, especially when it comes to life and death situations. |
