| Restorative Care |
| |
| Decayed, damaged, or missing teeth can cause many significant problems from tooth pain and chewing
issues to low self-esteem and bad breath. Unfortunately dental neglect only gets more painful and more
expensive to treat, therefore a proactive approach to dental care is our primary focus. Our team uses
effective, innovative solutions to restore and maintain smiles in any condition. |
| |
| Diagnodent |
| We use the Diagnodent –a laser device that detects tooth decay. It is able to target all of your small problem areas before they turn into larger issues. |
| |
| Composite Fillings (Tooth Colored) |
| Composites are white fillings that are designed to match the color of your teeth. Composite resins represent
several advantages over traditional silver fillings. Because they are not made of metal, we can blend and mix
shades to find the perfect color. Another pro is that the composite bond actually supports the remaining tooth
structure, deterring breakage and insulating against temperature changes. Best of all, composite resins allow
us to keep more of your natural tooth structure intact than silver fillings. We believe that the more natural
tooth structure you keep the better teeth you'll likely have in the future. |
| |
| Inlays and onlays |
| Inlays are used to treat the teeth that have decay or damage lying within their indented top surfaces. Onlays
are used to treat decay that extend out over the cusps of the tooth. Inlays and Onlays are tooth colored and
made from durable porcelain, most often used to replace old or damaged metal fillings. Both can be
completed over two appointments. |
| |
| Crowns |
| A crown can return structure, strength and function to a tooth with extensive decay or damage. Designed to
fit snugly and function as a healthy tooth, a crown will protect your tooth from further damage and preserve
the jaw's correct natural alignment. We are able to use precious metal, porcelain fused to metal, or all
porcelain crowns; however to maintain a fully white smile, we recommend all porcelain crowns. Porcelain
crowns are extremely durable and long lasting; these benefits make them popular with our guests. Typically,
we design, fit and place your crowns in a couple of appointments. |
| |
| Bridges |
| If you have lost a tooth either genetically or due to injury, we can create a permanent bridge to restore your
smile. A bridge not only fills the gap, but it also prevents repositioning of remaining teeth. A fixed bridge is a
prosthetic tooth (or teeth) that attaches to adjacent teeth with prepared crowns. For a bridge that replaces
many teeth, we may recommend a removable partial denture or implant supported prosthesis. With proper
care, a fixed bridge may last at least 8 to 10 years. |

| Root canals |
| Root canal treatment involves relieving tooth pain by removing the nerve tissue located in the center of
the tooth and root. This is not a surgical procedure and no gum tissue is affected. Access to the tooth is
obtained by drilling through the biting surface of the tooth or dental restoration to expose the nerve. The
final root canal is filled with a rubber-like material and medicated cement. The opening of the tooth is
closed with a temporary filling and an additional 1 or 2 visits is required so that a crown or filling can be
completed to protect the structural integrity of the tooth. |

| Dentures & Partials |
| Do missing teeth plague your smile? An aesthetic denture or partial could help you regain your confidence,
oral function, and smile. Drs. Callicutt & Dayries offer dentures that closely imitate your natural teeth. Many
patients particularly enjoy open palate dentures for their comfort and fit. |
